Our great God is sovereign in all things. He has a plan for our trip but currently we are uncertain of what that is. Our first flight from Detroit to Amsterdam never made it due to the volcanic ash in the air. This set us back 2 1/2 days - putting the Bisil medical clinic at risk of occurring. We were re-routed through Paris and eventually through Amsterdam again before heading to Kenya. While the day in Paris and the day in Amsterdam were an added bonus, everyone is quite anxious to get to Kenya to complete the mission we originally set out to do.
Another wrench.....
We arrived at Shiphol airport in Amsterdam only to find out our flight has been canceled. We are just a mere 2 1/2 hours from departure and have no reservations with which to board the plane.
Much Needed Prayers:
- Pray that God's plan will be revealed to us as we blindly navigate through all the changes.
- Pray that God will provide a way for us to get to the Kenyan people who are expecting us
- Pray that our hearts and minds will stay focused on our mission and "Be Still and Know that He is God."
Thank you for your prayers. We're certain that God's hand is in all of this and will lead us to where He wants us to be.

Hey Team,
ReplyDeleteWe're thinking of you and praying for you back here in Madison. What crazy ridiculous travel issues! We're sorry to hear the news and praying for a flight soon!
Hang in there!
Joel
I second what Joel said. We're praying your feet will touch the red clay soil of Kenya very very soon. The folks at Beacon are praying, as well.

We're praying for you way up in northern Wisconsin too! Your team is on our Prayer Square (ask Emily). Even with the delays, I'm sure much work for the Lord will be accomplished.
