We are just 5 days away from boarding our plane to Kenya. We board the bus at Blackhawk at 11:00 AM on Sunday (5/16) and depart to O'Hare airport.
Here's our itinerary (see if you can spot our possible hiccups):
May 16, 4:07 PM: Leave O'Hare.....6:35 PM: Arrive Detroit
7:35 PM: Leave Detroit.....May 17, 9:25 AM: Arrive Amsterdam
10:25 AM: Leave Amsterdam.....7:25 PM: Arrive Nairobi
Nairobi is 8 hours ahead of us here in Madison so we will be landing in Nairobi on May 17th at 11:25 AM CDT (Madison time)....24.5 hours after we leave the parking lot at Blackhawk Church.
Did you catch the possible hiccup? We need prayer for this.....
We only have one hour in between the flights in Detroit and Amsterdam! What are the chances that all of our luggage will follow us to Nairobi? Start praying! :))
We will definitely want to put a couple of changes of clothes in our carry on luggage to hold us over until our luggage catches up with us in Kenya.
We have our packing party tonight (Tuesday 5/11). Pictures to follow....
Prayer Requests:
-Pray that we will make our connecting flights and the very short layovers will not cause any major hiccups in our travels.
-Pray that our luggage follows us to Nairobi.
-Pray for God's Love and Grace be abundant in our hearts during our final preparations this week.
-Praise God for all the financial and prayer support that is making this mission trip possible. We know the trip will be a success because of this support.
